Competition Teams

We emphasize a positive competition environment.  We believe participating in competitions, much like other sports, pushes our dancers to be their best.  Our goal at competition is to give 110% during every performance.  Competing teaches our students teamwork, dedication,  and increases self- confidence.  Competition can be an exciting and rewarding experience when done with a positive attitude and good work ethic.

We offer FOUR different competitive options:

  1. FULL Company: This student will take all styles of technique and is eligible to compete in all styles of dance.
  2. Hip-hop Competitive: This student will take the classes that will enhance the overall performance of the hip-hop dancer. They will compete in hip-hop only.

This program is for students who wish to compete in only hip hop, tap, or pom.  These students must audition with company and perform with company.  Their technique requirements are less extensive so these students have less of a time commitment.  They will participate in all of the same events that our company participates in.  Non-Company Competitive students are not given the same discounts that company students receive.

The Company Discount

Our company members are ambassadors of our studio.  They participate in community events and represent our studio at competitions.  In return we offer a deep discount to all company members.    We also offer fundraisers to help offset the cost of costumes and competition. We strive to make it financially possible for all qualified dancers to participate in company.

Our Company Philosophy

The J.B.P.A.C  Company strives to build strong, well rounded dancers.  We feel training in all types of dance challenges our students and properly prepares them for the professional dance world. We feel the challenge of competing as a group teaches dedication, teamwork, drive and improves self- esteem.  We want our students to receive a strong technical background and also be able to express their individuality on stage.

We pride ourselves on innovative and creative choreography.  We stress to students that dance is more than just steps, it is expressing yourself through movement.  When our dancers can perform something that moves the audience then we have truly succeeded.

Our professional staff is dedicated to our students.  We have a personal atmosphere and truly want to see every student reach their full potential.    Success to us is not measured by the trophies on our shelf but, by the look of sheer joy on a student’s  face when they come off the stage knowing they did their best!
