Booster Club News

 

  • The Booster Club has obtained the Nonprofit Sales Tax Status which will   allow for greater fundraising opportunities for our students.

 

  • DVD’s from the Nexstar Nationals are now available.  Please contact Evelyn     Brite to obtain a copy of the DVD.  Please note: One Tribe is missing from the DVD and we will be selling them at a discounted rate.  If you have   already paid for the DVD let us know so we can credit your account.

 

  • We are still looking for new members to join the booster club.  If you joined  last year, you do not need to join again.  If you would like to join this year the

            cost is $5 for recreational students and $10 for company/competitive  students.  Please contact one of the members listed on this bulletin for more   information or visit the main desk at JBPAC to complete a contact form.

 The booster club has obtained a donated copy machine from the Johnson  County Public Library for use at the studio.

 Booster Club meetings are now held on the 2nd Monday of every month.

 Fundraisers

 Any new fundraising ideas are always welcome to be discussed at the monthly Booster Club meetings.

 Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough Fundraiser (Open to all JBPAC Booster Club Members)

    Fundraiser has ended and all cookie dough orders were due on October 12, 2011.

 The students will receive a profit of $6 per tub of cookie dough they   sold to apply to their student account.  Request forms for the transfer of the fundraiser money for your students account, is located at the front desk.

   The cookie dough will be delivered to the studio the 1st week of    November and will be frozen and require immediate pick-up.  We will announce the date as soon as it becomes available.

 Gray’s Pie Fundraiser (Open to all JBPAC Booster Club Members)

   Fundraiser to begin on October 26, 2011.

  All pie orders and checks (payable to Bandy Boosters) due by    November 10, 2011.

 Delivery will be November 21, 2011 and the pies will be frozen when we receive them and will require immediate pick-up.

     The pies will sell for $15 each providing the student with $5 profit per   pie.

Cash for Gold Party and Bake Sale (Open to Everyone)

   To be held on October 25th between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM – See  attached invitation for detatails.

  You do not need to be a booster club member to attend the party so  

bring your friends, co­workers and family members who want to get rid of their unwanted gold.

 Bring in any gold to be evaluated by a Cash for gold representative and walk away with cash in hand for the item you sell.

Mike’s Car Wash Fundraiser (Open to all JBPAC Booster Club Members)

   Fundraiser to be held in the month of December.

  The Coupons will be $8.00 each and will provide a profit of $3.50 per

coupon sold.

 This is a prepay fundraiser so you will have to pay for the

coupons when you pick them up from the booster club.

 EFundraising online is up and running

 Friends and family can visit our unique site to purchase or renew

existing subscriptions to their favorite magazines at up to 85% off, or

order delicious cookie dough, flowers, Restaurant.com eCertificates

and more. Each time they do, up to 40% profit goes to our group!

-           Create your own personal fundraising page as part of our group

campaign. Upload photos, include a welcome message and invite your friends and family to shop or online store in support of a great cause. Each time they make a purchase via your page, you’ll be credited for the sale while up to 40% profit benefits our group!

 The booster club is looking for additional fundraisers for the months of   January and February.    

2011-2012 Corporate Sponsorship

 

We are looking for Corporate Sponsors prior to November 1st for our Booster Club.  If you know of a business that would like to sponsor our club please have them complete a sponsorship form.  The forms have been attached to these minutes.  We need the sponsors information by November 1st so that we can get the corporate logo on the t-shirts and banner prior to our December Community Event at Greenwood Park Mall.

 

***For each sponsor that is brought in prior to November 1st the

individual student/family will receive 20% of the sponsorship money towards

their own monthly budget payments.***

 General Fund Wish List

 We have a booster club general fund wish list that we will be voting on at the next booster club meeting.  You will need to be present at the meeting to vote on this issue.  There will not be any absentee or email voting.  We are currently looking at several ideas for things we need at the studio that we would like to use the general fund money for.  The wish list ideas so far are:

-  A trailer for props

-  Redoing the homework room to make it more useful

-  Window Coverings in the lobby

-  General renovations

    Trailer is still being searched for- just waiting on a good deal and the sponsorship! All other buys are on hold until we get moved into the new building and see what we may need.

    On Wed. Nov 30 we will be working on props and candy canes for the mall. If able please stick around and help! The more people the quicker it is for everyone!
Christmas Festivities-
    Held Dec. 19th at the studio. Teachers gifts will be handed out at this time along with some cookies and just good times with friends! If you would like to pitch in on the teachers gift please see Melissa Jacobs for more info.
